The cabinet has approved the inclusion of clauses in the penal code to criminalize sexual assault and harassment.
The legal draftsman has also been instructed to amend existing laws to make soliciting sexual bribes a criminal offence, said cabinet spokesman Bandula Gunawardena yesterday (13).
