President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s vow to eliminate ragging from universities by next year is getting the backing of the Samabima Party.
Wickremesinghe told a seminar for youths on budget 2023 the government has a responsibility to safeguard rights of all university students.
He expressed surprise at the silence of university authorities over the inhuman ways of ragging.
