Actor-politician Ranjan Ramanayake was turned away when arrived at the Katunayake airport last night (27) to leave for the United States where he is due to take part in a concert.
He was to board a Qatar Airways flight at 8.15 pm to Dubai en route to the US.
Immigration and emigration officials did not allow him to leave the country as they were yet to be notified with regard to an overseas travel ban imposed on him over two pending court cases.
