President Ranil Wickremesinghe has visited senior artiste Jackson Anthony, who is receiving treatment at Colombo National Hospital for serious accident injuries.
President Wickremesinghe spoke to the veteran actor’s relations and requested the hospital staff to pay special attention to his speedy recovery.
Anthony’s wife was told to ask for any assistance in future treatment, and the president stressed the importance of organizing events for religious and spiritual blessings for Anthony, for which he extended his fullest support.
Thereafter, president Wickremesinghe met the NHC’s director and promised to ensure a speedy supply of medicines presently in shortage.
He said he had a big responsibility for the lives of patients, who are inconvenienced by the short-supply of medicines.
Before leaving, the president inquired into the well-being of patients who were at the hospital for treatment.
