SLPP MP S.B. Dissanayaka is set to take over the cabinet portfolio held by former Minister Wimal Weerawansa, it is learnt.
According to sources, Dissanayaka will be assigned the Ministry of Industries after Education Minister Dinesh Gunawardena had reportedly turned down an invitation to accept the portfolio.
Meanwhile, former Minister Wimal Weerawansa posted ''Thank You'' on his Facebook page in response to his removal from the ministerial post.
