Sri Lanka Police took a mobile phone by force on Saturday morning (25) and argued that they have the right to take any mobile phone without a court order any time.

A video shows how the mobile phone was forcibly taken away even after the person identifies herself as a journalist.

Meanwhile, opposition parliamentarian Champika Ranawaka told media yesterday that the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department has taken the data from mobile phones of persons related to a case.
