President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has decided to appoint Nushad Perera, the former Chairman of the Cooperative Wholesale Establishment (CWE), as the new Chairman of the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI), sources at the Presidential Secretariat said.
The SLSI is an institution coming under the purview of the President.
Meanwhile, it is reported that Trade Minister Bandula Gunawardena has decided to appoint Deputy Prison Commissioner, Attorney-at-Law Venura Gunawardena, as the Chairman of the CWE.
