Kala Pola, the annual open-air art fair, opened at Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha, also known as Green Path, in Colombo today (19).

This year, it celebrates 30 years of enhancing the livelihoods of artistes as Sri Lanka’s pioneering and best-known visual art fair.

Conceptualized and launched by George Keyt Foundation in 1993, it has been inspired by the world-famous outdoor art fairs in Montmartre, Paris and the Turl street art festival in Oxford.

Kala Pola 2023 will bring together art enthusiasts from across the country, creating a vibrant platform for artistes to showcase their creativity to a large and enthusiastic audience.
