A much-delayed cabinet reshuffle and appointment of provincial governors and 12 ambassadors will take place before the end of this month, said highly-placed government sources.
According to the sources, the president will appoint new governors, with several reappointments likely.
At his talks with the SLPP, an agreement has been reached to give five of the positions to that party and the four others to the UNP.
Mawbima.lk reports that certain media has named the persons proposed by the UNP to the four positions.
